2011 Already?
Wednesday, January 5, 2011 11:23 PMWell, it has been a long time since the last time I wrote. Apologies. I guess that just shows that not much happens in my life. All of the 'big' things that happen aren't really that big or they are really personal and not 'internet' worthy. My Christmas was really awesome. I took the week before Christmas off for a nice break. I didn't get a full 2 week break in the summer in 2010 so I thought I would take it before the year was over. It was awesome. Shawn and I held our annual Christmas party for immediate family on the Saturday before Christmas and it went over wonderfully. Got together with friends and family and enjoyed sleeping in and relaxing. Christmas Eve Shawn and I went to his Aunty's for supper and then headed out to the lake. Shawn's dad and his wife Yvonne and Shawn's brother Jeff, my grandparents of course, because it was at their house, and my mommy and daddy were all there for Christmas. Had our traditional perogy and turkey strata breakfast and then opened presents. We were all spoiled as always and had a great time the rest of the time at the lake. Spent time outside in the snow on the lake. Shawn and I drove up there Christmas Eve and got there around 11pm and left there Boxing Day morning around 6:30am because I had to work in Edmonton at 10am. It made for a fast and busy Christmas. New Years was really nice also, Shawn came over to our place for New Years Eve and we played Pictionary Man until the count down got to 10 minutes and then we watched tv for the countdown. After that we went to sleep (getting old)! New Years Day we had some family over and Shawn and I decided to attempt tobogganing after we both have not gone for years and years. It went great, so much fun and no broken bones!! All in all it was a great time! Happy 2011!!
